Impressions of Ostpark

The Ostpark in Munich was opened in 1982 for the growing population of the district of Neuperlach. It was designed by the landscape architect Ludwig Roemer. The hills of the Ostpark were built using the material left over from the metro (U-Bahn) construction. Situated within the park are table tennis tables, a small amphitheater (Theatron) and possibilities to play ball. On the northern side of the park there is the indoor and outdoor bath Michaelibad. Also, a restaurant with a beer garden (Michaeligarten) is located in the park.
